The Chicago Super Group II meeting was great. Thanks to all who participated, especially the speakers. The physical event may be over, but let's not stop there. On behalf of the presenters, we will be pasting links to the presentations below and we encourage you to thumb through them and respond - each presention will be a separate thread.
Let the conversation begin!
Welcome!
This is not really a blog; it's a community. On September 14, 2006, more than 150 people will convene in Chicago for Super Group II, a gathering of industry participants, organized by Thermo Electron Corporation, who strongly believe that open, frank dialogue is critical to helping U.S. power generators effectively prepare for and meet the requirements of the Clean Air Mercury Rule (CAMR) issued by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in March of 2005. The meeting will include representatives of the U.S. power generation industry, U.S EPA, the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI), and leading university researchers, as well as environmental consultants and stack emissions testers.
This blog is a vehicle to extend the Super Group forum into the virtual world and facilitate learning and conversations among participants. No single person or group controls the discussion, but a moderator (Greenough Communications) will monitor the blog to ensure comments are posted and organized and that any relevant content is easily available to all participants as a resource.
We encourage Super Group participants to check back with blog frequently to see what's new, respond to recent posts and to post new information of their own.
